About MHCC
Montachusett Home Care Corporation (MHCC), the Aging Services Access Point (ASAP) for 21 towns in north central Massachusetts, is committed to the goal of maximizing the independence and self-determination of the elderly and disabled by providing comprehensive information, advocacy, and access to community long term care.
We are a private, non-profit agency, incorporated in 1974, that employs nurses and case managers to assist those who need help to remain independent in their own homes in safety, comfort, and dignity. Our major source of funding is the Executive Office of Elder Affairs, which oversees several programs designed to promote independent living for the elderly through a statewide network of ASAPs. Grants from public and private sources, such as the Central Massachusetts Agency on Aging, the United Way of North Central Massachusetts, the Greater Worcester Community Foundation, and the Knowlton Foundation help make it possible for us to provide a comprehensive array of services and programs to address the needs of elders and their caregivers.
For younger disabled adults, we are able to offer programs that support independence with funding from the Division of Medical Assistance.
Public subsidies enable us to offer many services at little or no cost. For those who do not meet governmental eligibility guidelines, services are available at full cost.
We are members of the Massachusetts Association of Home Care Programs/ Area Agencies of Aging, Inc, ACCESS Community Options, and the Massachusetts Gerontology Association.
Coupled with our commitment to continuous quality improvement and service excellence is our almost 35 years of experience in the aging and home care fields. Montachusett Home Care Corporation offers comprehensive coordination of quality long-term care, which is consumer-oriented, cost-effective, and supports the autonomy and well being of the elderly and disabled.
