Leominster/Fitchburg_Montachusett Home Care of Leominster and Gardner held its 9th Annual Golf Tournament at the Oak Hill Country Club this past Monday.

MHCC’s tournament was a great success, collecting over $5,000 in its auction following the event; over $2,000 in the raffle; almost $25,000 in sponsorships; and nearly $1000 in mulligans offered to golfers prior to the event.

Following the event, Senator Robert Antonioni and Representative Stephan DiNatale joined golfers for dinner and offered their services as Auctioneers for the evening program.

Winners of the tournament were 1st place with a score of 62, the Harvard Physician’s foursome from Boston consisting of Adam Lajoie, Mike Burns, Ryan Friedberg, and Dennis Paoloni ; The foursome of Vennings and Jacques of Gardner, placing 2nd overall with a score of 63, consisting of golfers Jerry Bankowski, Jeffrey Gallant, Brian Fontaine, and Kevin Mack; Dr. Robert Babineau’s foursome of Fitchburg, placing 3rd with a score of 64, consisting of golfers Dr. Babineau, Mike Hebert, Henry St. Cyr, and Jim Testa; 4th with a score of 64 was the foursome of Peter Silvia of Princeton, David Joyce of Leominster, Peter Vitello and Marvin Black of Athol; Winning 5th place in the event with a score of 65 was P.J. Keating’s Foursome from Lunenburg consisting of Greg Bowles, John Keating, Jim Reger, and Mike McMorrow; Winning 6th place in the event with a score of 65 was Patricia Keating , Scot Maynard, and Steve LaCross of Leominster and Bobby DelGuidice of Lunenburg; and 7th place with a score of 66, Jason Baldini, Jim Comerford, Ray Bedard, and Bob Charland.

Winner of the Longest Drive for Men was Dean DiGregorio and for Women, Sue Curley of Need-A-Lift Medivan from Leominster. The 50/50 hole winner was Terry O’Callaghan of Fitchburg with the closest to the hole shot of 3’ 3”.

MHCC is a not for profit organization whose mission it is to help elders and disabled adults remain independent in their homes in safety, comfort, and dignity.

The golf tournament helps to fund the agency’s three volunteer programs, Money Management, Ombudsman, and In-Home companion services.
