Protective Services
For anyone 60 years of age or older who is physically, emotionally and/or sexually abused, or financially exploited by caregivers, MHCC may investigate the circumstances to determine the extent of the abuse and can provide services to eliminate or alleviate the problem. For elders in danger because they are unable to care for themselves, the Elder At Risk program is available to help. In addition, we offer assistance to elders in Crisis. more...
Caregiver Support
A professional geriatric case manager works with the caregiver and elder to develop a care plan that is designed to provide relief to the caregiver while meeting the needs of the elder. Volunteer Services
MHCC has three programs that assist elders through Volunteerism: Money Management is a personalized service to assist an elder manage his finances; the Ombudsman Program gives a voice to residents of nursing and rest homes enabling them to resolve complaints; and our long-standing Volunteer program provides respite for caregivers, companionship, telephone reassurance and escorts to medical appointments for elders living in the community. more...
